SEC creates unit to lead push for new data format | News | Regulatory News | Reuters

The SEC has announced the creation of an office called the Office of Interactive Disclosure, to be headed up by David Blazskowsky. It is the latest in a series of initiatives towards making XBRL mandatory. Chairman Cox has asked for feedback on whether XBRL should be made mandatory for all companies by Spring, 2008.
