SBR in the Netherlands - A Tale of Collaboration

The Netherlands is running a very successful SBR (Standardized Business Reporting) program which serves as a model for other countries to consider. It has its beginnings with a desire to cut red tape and reduce the burden placed on filers of information with governments. These are goals in Canada and major policies of the Canadian Government. So the experience in the Netherlands is very relevant to Canada. Recently Cees De Boer, chair of XBRL International, made a presentation on the collaboration needed to implement SBR.
