Welcome to XBRL Canada
The XBRL Canada domain Group has added to it's website at the link below a concise little guide on how to get started on the CSA Voluntary Filing Program, scheduled to start this month. The program, which is similar to that of the SEC, involves filing XBRL instance documents with the commissions and on SEDAR. With the recent announcements by Chairman COX that they will be requiring the filing of XBRL statements, Canadian crosslisted companies will be required to file XBRL statements. Also, there is the possibility that the CSA will follow the SEC and make it mandatory, although this is speculative at this point. Welcome to XBRL Canada
