Small Business Compliance Guide: Interactive Data for Financial Reporting

The SEC has released a Small Business Compliance Guide for XBRL filings under its new rules, which require smaller companies to file in XBRL by the third year of implementation, i.e. periods ending on or after June 15, 2011. Canadian companies listed with the SEC will be required to file XBRL with the SEC when they adopt IFRS in 2011. They are well advised, therefore, to implement IFRS and XBRL together, since there are many aspects of the two that can more efficiently be implemented in conjunction with each other. The press release for the guide is at: Small Business Compliance Guide: Interactive Data for Financial Reporting
